This Capital One Spot is based on a concept that's as old as the hills -- but look how refreshingly well the spot is done!
This ad won a Cannes Lions Award for Carlton Draught Beer in Australia. Obviously it was done on a big budget -- but that's okay -- because it was a big idea that deserved the best production values!
This ad for Swiffer takes a unique approach. Rather than a dreary comparison beween a sponge mop and the Swiffer, the creative team took a different approach. The "Lady of The House" has already dumped the sponge map -- and now the sponge mop is trying to "woo her back".
This little gem is one heck of a great TV spot. It was done for Zellers, a Canadian retail department store chain. The idea is simple. Zellers is simply stating that they have everything from A to Z -- but the jingle comes on "like gangbusters" and the visuals are fun. We also suspect that this TV commercial is helping a lot of Canadian kids today learn the alphabet! (Things are always easier to remember when they're put to music, right?)
We put this one in for two reasons: The jingle is good and, as Canadians, we have a responsibility to promote our own Canadian artists -- one of which happens to be Feist.
This commercial is, of course, from the United Kingdom. It would never be able to run in Canada, mostly because we've become more puritanical than the people who spawned us.
This commercial was one of the latest Super Bowl ads -- and it's brilliant. Everybody remembers giving their dad a bottle of Old Spice for Christmas -- and everybody remembers the old commercials which showed the sailor going to sea. Since those years, however, Old Spice has had a dip in sales -- and the company was slated to die in the new millenium. However, congratulation to Old Spice for fighting back -- and rejuvinating itself with commercials like these.
Here's another commercial from the Super Bowl that generated a lot of interest. It stars another American icon -- Betty White, who has starred in a variety of
sitcoms. You must admit that, even at the age of 83, Ms. White has a great sense of humor and perfect timing.
Here's another commercial from Britain that caught our eye. The Three little pigs, and how they'd be wronged in today's society.
|Every Geiko TV commercial we've ever seen stands out for its uniqueness. All of them certainly gather attention. Here's just one!|
